In India, 1800 children die everyday due to thirst. You and I, as most of the Indians are oblivious to this fact.
Ali Akber Kapadia, a 15 year old, 10th standard student, also had no idea about it.He didn't know what thirst was...until his first Ramadan when he identified with the thirst in the eyes of the villagers of RUI... and all he wanted was to put an end to it but he didn't know how...
Godrej on Campus...
31st July, 2012- Sarah Dessen's "Expect the Unexpected" turned out to be my life's story with Godrej LOUD on campus. When Mark left us with the mesmerizing question "What makes you happy?"...
I kept flipping through the pages of my life and it instantly occurred to me, doing something for the less fortunate... My passion translated to my dream...

Winning Moment...
But then as they say, " If it seems too easy, you are probably not doing it the right way "...
-Studying not more than couple of hours for the running end terms, conceptualizing video overnight, writing a 3 hour paper within an hour and reaching the venue Just in Time (yes, am a Supply Chain major)-
were not just regular efforts, you'd know...
And then Winner of the first edition of Godrej LOUD !!! and a cheque of Rs.1.5 lacs to make my dream come true...

Execution
So a train ticket and RUI here I come...And the next morning action begins...
After a lot of pleading and arguing with the contractor, the work finally began and the sequence followed...
Boring --- Piping --- Motor-Pump Insertion --- Electrical Connections --- Water tank Placement

Can Money buy Empathy?
I have heard this question number of times : "Can money buy happiness?"...
The answer have been relative but then "Can money buy empathy?"...
From my point of view the answer will be a straight forward NO...
But then when I delve deeper- I had felt for the people for some 6 years -Everytime I kept a fast for Ramadan, those faces kept flashing back... But then what could I have done about it???
Had it not been for LOUD, not been for Godrej, all my dreams, all my passion, would have had no meaning.
From the bottom of my heart I thank Godrej LOUD for fulfilling
" Not only my dream...
But the dream of all 2000 RUI residents...
the dream of every thirsty individual..."
